My wife and I are starting to look into trips for next year. One of the ones that caught our eye was fishing for tiger muskies in New Mexico. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the fishery, or the guide down there. I've done a little internet research, but that is about as much as I know.

I lived in AZ from 2006-2009 and dragged my boat all the way down there with the intention of fishing for Tigers in New Mex. I never made it fishing though. Boat sat in the garage the whole time. I can't remember exact details, but the research I did back then must've been positive enough for me to drag my boat down. I highly doubt they are very pressured fish. Sorry I coudln't help more.

Thanks for the reply. I think in the next month or so, I'm going to email the guide in New Mexico, and see what is all going on with the tiger muskies.

if you google "blue water lake" Tiger Muskies there is some info available. It appears to be a quality fishery. In-Fisherman rated it well enough to mention in this years "Pike and Mukie Guide" as a top spot. I would guess VERY well worth checking out. Good luck if you go! Cheers,Chris
