| So I this really a action/sound thing or more of a durability issue. Throwing some blades with .025 on them and noticed I had to do a lot of tweeking after a fish was caught. Have never tried heavier blades. Any comments?

Location: Chisholm, MN | I like the thin ones for night fishing. They ride higher when slow rolled. The heavy ones are good for burning during the day. That said I still use mostly .025 during the day because I have more confidence in them. |

Location: Pewaukee, WI | .040” blades are great blades, but produce a different action and sound. The thinner blades are a little lighter and tend to flare more and create more lift, while also moving more water. The .040” thick blades have their place, but the versatility of the .025” blades are hard to beat. |

Location: Minnesota | I always use the heavy 0.40 blades, I feel they give a stronger thump as well as something most Muskies don't see/feel everyday. |

Location: Land of the Musky | Go with 032. They kick open about as nice as the 025, don't warp and spin faster than the 040. JMO but I have moved all of my double 10s to that blade and have had a lot happier customers since.

Location: Contrarian Island | some of Dadsons and Spankys are .040... yah they don't work.  I have caught lots of big fish w heavy blades...they work, but you guys that don't think so just keep throwin thin blades...

.040 or .025
