Now that they have been out a few years, have people been actually casting these and catching fish on them? And if so, why would you feel a need to cast the 2 lb vs the 1 lb?

I jig mine... I suppose my XXH Predator would cast it, but not sure how long I'd want to keep that up. Ben apparently has different mileage, so I can't blame him for chucking it. Definitely a very niche/situational lure for me.

I began throwing them a few years back, but last year I had one get crushed, by a 40" fish. God only knows what actually would eat one, but yes I like them, throw em, and have had action with em. They seem to get fishes attention better.

I have thrown it for about an hour or 1½, on my TI XXH but it feels like the rod i way to soft, and i have to "fight" the during the cast.

Location: MN | A 9'8" HX Thorne predator works great for bucking them. There's absolutely no need for a xxxh super stiff rod. Oh yeah muskies from 39"- 52" like 2 pounders. |

You wanna talk about "different mileage." Tim would throw a 3lber if they made it! I draw the line at 2! P.S. I did have an injection following the first 2lber season for a herniated disk in my neck!

Location: MN | Ben, you should talk to the guys at MI I'd totaly buy like 15 3lbers. Maybe then 39"ers would stop eating them? |

I throw them with both an XH Pred and an XXh Heavy Pred. Both work well. I actually prefer the XXh.

Them big girls will eat just about anything I guess.

I had a couple of them and I guess I wasn't tough enough to throw them. Tim Schmitz bought them from me on here and pretty sure he got them chewed up too.
