There's a lake by me that's tough to get a boat in I have a flat bottom jon boat I'd like to get in easier. Is there a simple way to make a dolly to roll it in and roll it back to the trailer?

I use one of these quite often. it is incredibly handy as it gives you a better angle to be pushing/pulling the boat when moving it around in the driveway/garage. it also makes turning a heck of a lot easier, since the trailer can pivot on the ball instead of using the trailer's wheel jack.

I was thinking something that pivots with wheels that lock in place either down or to the side of the boat. Like this

I think these dollys are made more for moving boats, (campers, whatever?) inside warehouses or similar. To attempt using one on an incline to launch anything more than the smallest boat has got to be a lot more difficult than I would like to try. Had I been a younger man....maybe?

Got one of these too. Best things ever for wheeling a small to midsize boat in and out of the garage quickly over to vehicle.

I think what the original poster describes is more of a self made boat ramp, or plank. Conecting from trailer to pavement or ground, and sliding it up and off trailer. Could be a cool DIY project to try.
