Looks like many of the teams figured out the pattern as several fish have been registered, including doubles,and reports of fish near the 50 inch mark.

53 fish were caught.
Smida and Clepper won the PMTT in Madison with a total of 5 fish. Lance and Darrell Seasor took second with 4 fish, Adamovich and Barber took third, Berman and Quintano fourth, and Weber and Gustman took fifth.
The bite was mostly shallow with fish caught on blades, Hellhounds, and cranks.

Compare that to the Pelican Lake Kevin Worrall tourney on Saturday.
119 boats, ~9 hours fishing (10 hr tournament) for 9 fish =
1 fish for ever ~119 boat hours.

Sorry, not hounding. Absolutely great tournament. Great people running the tournament and was a lot of fun for a great cause. Have been fishing this tournament for 30 years run out of this bar. Will be fishing it as long as I am able. Gerritt's do an incredible job and Steve has done an outstanding job of bringing more sponsors into it.
Was just commenting on the difference between the 2 tournament for fish caught. Pelican Lake needs help and hopefully it gets it soon.

You want to see some humbling numbers look at the 2013 Chippewa Flowage Musky Hunt totals. At this point I cannot confirm but believe 200 entrants fished 20+ hours over 2-1/2 days and boated under 20 fish . . . and it might have been closer to 15 fish. At 20 fish it is 200 angler hours per fish.
Yikes, but that's musky fishing.

Look at the frank Schnider 20 lakes northern Minnesota 7-7 Friday 7-7 Saturday 7-11sunday over 500 contestants and 57 fish registered. 245 angler hours per fish leech, cass, bemidji,etc.......

First things first; since this thread was about this particular event, BIG CONGRATS to the winners and the other nine teams to collect the the cash, bling and bragging rights. We saw a lot of fish, lost a few, tried our hearts out, but came up empty. The guys who win deserve the praise...really, really do. Now, having said that, when it comes to the subject of angler hours, you will find that if you look at a hundred events or more, you are going to get to an average of just over 50 hours per fish. There are clearly "numbers waters" like the Eagle and Madison chains where you will almost always beat that, places like Pelican or the Chip where you won't...BUT THAT's THE NUMBER!
