| The only tailbait I've ever seen without some sort of metal insert in the tail.. Makes it inconsistent, and hard to tune.. I sent mine back when I couldn't tune it.. Got another with the same issue.. I got rid of that one.. (By got rid of I mean I threw it as far as I could into the woods after WAY too many attempts at tuning..)
Honestly though... I've never seen a topwater without some sort of metal insert the wire goes through?? Lee's choppers have some sort of metal tube pounded thought the tail. Topraider looks like it got rivent ends pounded in each end of the rotating part.. The Lowrider had rivet ends in the rotating parts.. The lelure globes had some metal going through the rotating part..
BS willy globes, etc... it goes on and on..

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | It's a much more subtle tail-prop bait IMO. Not as loud as some others, but that is not a bad thing. I like chop for topwater and thing that others excel in those conditions, and I am thinking this bait will be a good topwater when the lake is calm.
I don't have a lot of time in with mine though so I may be completely wrong. |

| Tom makes an excellent product at a fair price, i believe many of the guides use his baits and Jason hammernick caught a 57 inch fish on one last year!!!!! |

| I've used his baits for the past 3 seasons. Great lures, very durable, well made. No complaints. Also, I can tune mine, you just have to use a bit of elbow grease and bend the blades forward or backward. This changes the sound. |

All of the prop baits I make should have inserts, and in the spring of this year all the inserts are in the form of rivet sleeves.
Is it possible that"frank" got one that was bad? You bet!iI guess we will never know since he "threw them in the woods" ,what the exact issue is.
That being said I will always stand behind all of my products.
Thanks again for everyone's support

The 2 I had did not have inserts in them.. They just had the wire going through the hole drilled in the wood..
I've got fish in the boat on these, I just couldn't tune it to my liking..
I'll probably buy another after hearing you've added the inserts though..
So thank you..! |

| It is far from subtle. They are way louder than a top raider. Like all products, some are louder than other and they can be tuned but his thicker metal blades are hard to bend, but doable.
My twisted sister is louder than the psycho sister. I like them - I just can't seem to stick with a topwater long enough and bail out to other baits too early. |

| I have several of the big mama lure company baits and I love them, I found no reason to tune them great product with great colors and a tough top coat finish that keeps those colors on.

| "They are way louder than a top raider."....... interesting. I was fishing with a guy who had a twist'd sist'r that made little sound, if any at all. I had a twist'd psycho which could be heard. However, the twist'd sist'r raised more muskies than the twist'd psycho, including one being caught. Of course, the different color could have made some difference. Then, the twist'd sist'r was being worked fairly slowly. When I mentioned he should contact the manufacturer regarding hardly any sound, he said he didn't want to change anything as the lure was raising a lot of muskies. No argument there.
Does the twist'd sist'r and twist'd psycho produce best when they are worked real slow? |

| The psycho I have is very loud! But sounds like they may all vary.
I can only speak from my experience. I agree that I should not have to adjust a new lure that cost $20+.
Nevertheless, I like the baits I got from Tom.

| Awesome lure! Loud and makes a large wake
Only downside is it's very hard to tune, i can't tune mine so that the lure doesen't spin but still has a loud plopp... |

I was hoping mine was going to be loud, but I think I may leave it for special scenarios as sometimes subtle is good as well. I bought mine after fishing with Lambeau and his was loud. |
