Location: Bemidji, MN- | Does anyone out there tie Power Pro direct to the spool? If so, what do you use to anchor it - electrical tape? I hate having another knot in my line as a possible weak link, and I don't have a lot of faith in my double uni.

Location: Greenfield, WI | I tie a knot on one end of the spool, lay the line on the spool shaft, and use electrical tape to keep the line tight to the shaft so that the line starts winding on the shaft from the side opposite of the knot. I haven't had any line slipping since I started this technique.

Location: Oshawa, Ontario | I use Power Pro exclusively and always lay down TWO full wraps of electrical tape and have never had a problem. Happy Casting and Hooking! |

| Just to prove I'm no dummy, I too use Power Pro, and a small piece of duct tape, then use the Arbor knot to attach line. Though I've yet to hook a fish on this rig, it sure held on stumps, limbs, rocks, docks etc...this is my year though to hang something alive and swimming.... |

Location: Greenfield, WI | Sponge, I think that you should further refine the list of things which you plan to hook to monster muskies, and not cows, deer, pelicans, hen turkeys, wilderbeasts, muskrats, dogs, and cats........well, cats are ok to keep on the list! |

Location: Madison, WI | I use the electrical tape method as well... super glue is water soluable so I'm not sure that is something that I would have a lot of confidence in. Craig |
