How would all of you feel if we had a "minimum" in terms of number of lures or total overall price? Just thinking we try really hard to make sure that everyone gets a good shot at selling/trading/buying here and when there's like A lure (esp when its a very EH kind of lure) it almost seems like it's taking up space?

But that's just a thought. What do you guys think?

I like it. I would support the change.

I do love the idea of separating lures from rods and reels, etc.

I guess I'm neutral on this. My experience on this trade forum has been immensely positive, so I haven't had a reason to think something should be fixed or changed. It is a great place to find musky specific stuff and the market price is what it is. Of course that is just my mileage, so perhaps others have had a different experience that justifies such a change.

I don't know, I feel like it might favor the "bigger" guys over the "little" guys. What I mean by that is I've only been musky fishing for a year so I don't have as large of a collection and thus not as much to get rid of when compared to someone who has been fishing for awhile or has a much bigger fishing budget. At the most I'd set a minimum number of lures at 2. Also, I probably have more meh lures since I didn't know what I was doing when I first started buying lures.

Perhaps you could increase the number of threads that are shown per page to like 25? Or is it possible to set up sub-forums that feed into a main B/S/T forum? i.e. You could have a B/S/T for reels, 1 for lures, 1 for rods, and 1 for misc that could all feed into an over B/S/T but if I only wanted to buy or a sell a reel I would just go to the forum for reels. I don't know if this is possible, just a thought.

Minimum sure, but one person's meh bait is another person's confidence bait.

just leave it alone who cares if your selling one bait or ten........ sometimes its nice to just get rid of one or two baits, i sold just one bulldawg lastnight on here, and have sold a net, bump board, 3 lakewood boxes, and several lure lots...... we dont need more rules

I guess I am not in favor of the rule change. I love to fish and expierement with new equipment and lures and therefore do use this site to learn, buy, sell and trade on. In my expierences it has worked out great with everybody here being truthful and honest. As dami0101 pointed out above, I too don't have a ton of lures and therefore I would hate to see the "small fish" in the game like myself being removed due to set minimums. Just my two cents.

On a seperate note I do think that we should thank you guys at OFM for allowing this buy/sell/post forum. It is a great direct outlet for other musky nuts to save a few dollars and expierement with new stuff.

Leave it be. Already too many rules and seems to be working just fine as is.

If anything have a lure/tackle page and maybe one page for rods/reels/nets.

What about making a section off of the Buy, Sell, Trade that is items over $50 and another that is items under $50? Either way I don't mind. I too have had positive transactions both buying and selling and will continue to do so.

No. Don't need to change with a "minimum" rule who cares if someone wants to sell one item or a bunch or whatever, that's what makes this work so well. There is something for everyone.

I like the separate lures, rods, reels, nets page idea. Not sure how easy this is to set up though.

how about setting up a page that is just for people who are looking for something particular when they post :" looking for " or "WTB" section so they dont have to keep bumping it up 5 times" still looking" or" anyone?" and then make them post the amount they wanna spend...that way when u reply to them that they are looking for a $25 -$50 dollar lure and only wanna spend 5-10 dollars in near new condition or a $400 dollar reel for only a hundred dollars that we dont waste our time trying to help....could go on but wont..bushy

I would like to have have different sub-forums under the buy, sell, and trade forum, one for lure, one for rods and reels, and one for terminal tackle and accessories.

No,Leave it like it is. Don't need to make more rules just because u can. If its an "eh" lure it will slide its way down through and the new posts will be at the top before to long anyway.

Leave it alone. I would like that if you have 3 lures or less, you have to put the lure names in title of post. My finger gets tired sometimes from clicking when I am checking classifieds.. Keep up the Good work Slammer !!

It's good the way you have it. As others have said, thank you for providing this service to us. Having categories as some of said, would be a good change although, browsing all posts peaks my interest at times.
