Great video. One thing that I found out is if you get a polarized lens cover for the camera you can see the fish better in the 8 on video. It is hard to tell if you had one or not, but if you didn't I would highly recommend one. The fish show up alot better.

Editing with Sony Vegas? Nice job bud, I know how long it can take to put together footage with music, transitions, video fx. I've found that fades in/out take less time, and in the end look just as good. Can't say much more, except nice choice with AC/DC as well!

Thanks for the kind words our dog Max loves and boat he lay's under the passenger console and as soon as your rod make a hard sweeping sound for a figure 8 he jumps up and runs to ya. LOL I have the silver and use scan disk 32 cards, I had seven batteries with but only used about 3 when 1 died I would throw it on a charger on the boat. The last fish of the trip the battery died while Carol was fighting the big fish in go figure she even said as she heard the camera go off oh sure I bet this is going to be a big fish!! LOL I edited it with the Pinnacle Studio 16 Ultimate it was about $130.00 from Best Buy, there where about 25 fish eat on the figure 8 last week and only about 12 stayed pinned for the net still have a lot of great footage left over.

Awesome muskie footage and an even better peak into your life. Your wife is one hell of a muskie fisher! And to enjoy this with your dog too, that's just too much.
I just got a Hero3Black from my wife. I'll be on LOTW with it next summer and Cave Run until then. I was impressed with how steady the video was with the head strap, which I assume you were using. I've been doing a lot of research and trying to decide between the head strap and chest mount.

Dang! looks like you got the highlights captured from a memorable trip. this is the kind of video i shouldn't watch in mid-February, gets me too excited, and then my productivity decreases for the rest of the day.

I tried the chest mount did not like it I thought it was too hard to try to watch both baits coming in it was easier to turn my head a little to see the back of the boat then my whole body just my opinion. Working on another one had so much boat side action that week it was crazy!!

Thats some great footage!!. I envy you getting it made as I still have LOTW footage from July that is still just footage. I also should check into bringing my dog up as I know the wife would not go. You have a great fishing partner there!! Cudos to women who reel them in!!

I've been doing a lot of research and trying to decide between the head strap and chest mount.
Head strap all day! I bought both the head mount and chest mount when I went to Canada with mine. A chest mount looks way better than the head mount for capturing video of working/retrieving a lure. But as soon as you set the hook and start fighting a fish, all you see in the video is your hands with the chest mount. Two of my best fish had no boat side action video. Just hands and dialogue. The head mount lets you see the boat side and fish fighting action WAY more.
I got this same advice and didn't listen. Don't do something stupid like me!
An added bonus - the head mount is ~$30 cheaper too.
