I am wondering about possible terrorism. Does anyone think it is possible? Even at +or- 200,000 feet? Terrible times right now.

I think the results we see on the TV is the result of either wing tile or tile from the bottom of the craft failing. The shuttle sends a data stream which is pretty incredible, so NASA should be able to recreate everything that happened to the point of the break-up.

SAD day, and a terrible day for the US Manned Space Program.

slimm, hardly likely. You can't hit a plane flying at 12000 miles per hour at 60kilometers above the earth. I hope they can find out what happened. Sad day, that's for sure

Our thoughts and prayers with the families and friends of the travellers, and with the ground crews who put their hearts and souls into their work. I grew up watching launches on TV, and even thought these have now become commonplace, it still amazes me we can do this. Recovery efforts have to be heart-wrenching, our prayers with those workers, too. m
