Try it out. If you like it we will switch, if not, we will roll back to the old version. Anything posted between 3:00 AM and 8:00 am this mornign will have to be reposted. This forum has board mail, photo albums, a better upload component, and many other features. There is downside:

-You will have to recreate any signatures.
-All attached images in old posts will no longer appear in those posts. However, the Images still exist and I can make them accessible.

Let's hear some feedback.

Zach

Is there any way to turn on threading? I miss the threaded view from two rev's ago like you see on some other boards.

ps. I like the notification feature.

yes there are 3 types of views you can use, you can also set your threading preference in your profile. Look on this page, the drop-down box just above all the posts.

Wondering if you plan on putting the avatar image on the users posts like on icefishingFirst or just leave it on the profile page?

I like the new features. I have been wondering if and when you would be switching. Must have been a bunch of work.

Keep up the good work Zach and Steve!
I check this place almost as much as my e-mail.

I have been using the IcefishingFIRST site messageboard since the launch, and like the new format quite a bit. The photo album section is something our visitors have asked for; it is easy to use.

Nice work, Zach!

Looks good to me. However, being as dumb as a post as far as computers go, I will need some help figuring out how to navigate around here now. I think I found out how to reset my profile but only time will tell. I do think that the new format will be great. Thanks Zach, I know that this is a lot of work, even though I know not one thing about it.

I hate it. First thing I noticed when I got here was how small the font was so I went and checked my options but there on the largest setting.

Then when I am on this tread the persons names uses almost 1/3 of the screen and the rest for the messages.

Maybe I need to play with the settings but I just got here and already ahve a headache.

Like the photo album.

Do not like the small fonts and way the screen looks...not sure if this can be changed. This makes my eyes hurt..which honestly is why I rarely look at icefirst. Too hard on us old guys..

OK, just made some changes, and will continue to as we go along. I am looking at the old forum and the new forum, trying to emulate the old one as much as possible. It is so close that sometimes I have to scroll up to see what one I am on, they are almost exactly the same right down to font sizes and color schemes. If you have any specific changes you would like to see with font size etc let me know here and I will try to implement them.

With the old format, I could log on and subsequent messages would automatically display my name and enter the password, that's not happening now. I appreciate your efforts to keep MF number one! I like the message features, glad to see it, I ditto the font size concerns. Keep up the good work. m

Just another suggestion. On some other boards, one of the advantages of being a registered user is you can go back and edit your post after it is submitted. Now, sometimes I'll post something that I thought was cute at the time, read it later and think, whoa, what a dum bass! If it is possible to work such a feature into this board, that would be great. Check out www.fishin.com for such a feature. thanks, m

Zach so far I like it but, it would be nice to have the page change at the top and bottom of the page for when you come back to a topic (and you forgot where you were) that has lots of pages so you do not have to scroll down to change. And the page change larger so it is easyer to read.

I especialy like to see Jason's name in  PINK.  Lmao

Still have to figure out the smillies tho. And the imgs and everything else. Man everytime we get a new board it's a new sistem to learn to post stuff.

Now why can't I cut and paste in my message box?

HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM (at least I found on this end).

Tried to use the back button on my internet provider rather than down below to get out of a discussion page (happened to be on buy/sell trade) and it would continue to reload and not back out.

Something seems to be of issue with this.

Cool Beans!!!! Like this format. Looks like a good change. Many new and cool features.

Question concerning the stars by our number of posts? What does the different colored stars mean? I just want to make sure that it matches the star alignment in my daily horoscope.

you know what would be nice? To switch the "views" column and the "replies" column. I was used to the old forum and there you would see how many replies there were first and then how many views.

Also, can we get a "next page" button? I know, I'm one lazy dude but it was really handy.

All Netscape users: I figured out the forum display problem and that should be fixed.

Nescape 4.8 users and earier: Your browser completely ignores the WC3 standards. Improve your overall intenet experience by upgrading to Netscape Version 7.

Netscape 6 users: You are using what may be the worst browser software ever made. Upgrade to version 7.

Netscape 7 users: Congratulations. You are using a pretty good browser.

Private messages. My ad rotator is erroring this page out, I am in the process of correcting the problem.

Really nothing to do with this thread but I thought that this would be the very best place to bury my 1000th post. If one of you guys finds this post it on one of the muskyone threads. Ther is a free jig or two in it for the first member that finds this and reposts. Until then I will have to be silent as to where this is and will not post again until after this is found. Here's to the next 1,000.
