| Just need some clarification:
What part(s) of the lake does everyone call "The Angle", the "NW Angle", etc.? I understand what the NW Angle actually is, but it seems among fisherman, there is a whole different definition of "The Angle". Surely everyone can't be talking about just the NW-most portion of the lake within MN boundaries, as that isn't very big.
My assumption is that "The Angle" is what anglers call the vast area between the actual NW Angle and Kenora. That's a huge part of the lake, and it seems weird to lump that whole area under one name. So I'm probably wrong with that assumption.
And Whitefish Bay is just the portion of the lake east of Sioux Narrows, right?

| well I already realized I was wrong with one of my assumptions - Whitefish Bay is actually the water on each side of Sioux Narrows, just basically the Easternmost portion of the lake.

| In blue is the area referred to when musky guys go up to fish "the angle". From the MN/Ontario Border up through Big Narrows, including Portage, Monument, Outer, Bishop, and other bays. In black is the ACTUAL Geographic Northwest Angle... The northernmost piece of Minnesota and the Continental US. Limited musky fishing. In red is Whitefish Bay, the clearest and deepest area of the lake. It spans from the Turtle Portage just north of Sabaskong Bay in the south to Yellowgirl Bay in the North including Regina Bay, Lobstick Bay, Snake Bay, and Knickerbocker Inlet

What do you call the area around Kenora, between the northern-most parts of The Angle and Whitefish? The Kenora area? Or the Northeast area?
Also, how about the area between Sabaskong and The Angle - basically the middle of Canadian portion of the lake?

Location: Lake of the Woods, Morson, Ontario | The "Morson" area can really cover everything from Splitrock Narrows to the east all the way out to McPherson to the west. Basin names included would be:
Sabaskong, Saskoskoshing, Miles Bay, Obabikon Bay, Sunset Channel, Painted Rock, Basil Channel and a good portion of the Little Traverse as well as everything in and around these areas.
