hi all I'm looking at getting a Toro nacl for muskie fishing. would you recommend the 51 or 61 model. I am thinking the 51 due to smaller profile but if the 61 would be more practical I'll go that route.

thanks

I have a couple 60s and a couple 50s and prefer the 50s. I have them spooled with 80# and never an issue.

I like the 61, just ordered one to replace an old Revo Toro 61. It's still a very low profile reel.

If you palm your reel, and use it mostly for jerkbaits, choose the 50, for ripping Bulldawgs and cranks, go for the 60. Both are equally strong.

Smaller spools casts better with smaller bucktails, in your case I would choose the 50/51
