As mentioned in an earlier post, I do have the books/volumes by Buck Perry. I've thought about purchasing some of the tapes offered, but have never heard anything about them. Anybody out there seen them? If so, what do you think of them and which tape(s) are the best to buy. Thanks - Tom

Buck is my absolute hero. His theories on bass fishing carry over to many species. If you type "Spoonplugging" into Google search, you can find a website dedicated to his products and teachings. Good hunting. m[]

Thanks for responding. I have had Buck's WRITTEN MATERIALS since the late 60s. He is also one of my fishing heroes and is a member of the Fishing Hall of Fame. I talked to Roland Martin at a fishing seminar. Roland stated that Buck's book:"Spoonplugging, your guide to lunker catches" is the best book on scientific fishing ever written.

I'm looking for information on Buck's tapes. I have never seen one, nor do I know anyone that has one. Actually the online site is not his, but someone authorized by him to sell his products. I found this out when I called to order products over the telephone from his company.

BUCK'S company is called "Bucks Baits" and is located in Hickory, North Carolina (number can be gotten from operator). The online site does not offer the tapes. His catalog does offer them along with a larger assortment of lure colors. The online site is also more expensive.

Hi Kid,
I have probably seen all of them, and they are great! Favorite? The rip rap tape is pretty good.
You will have to come meet Mr. Perry next Sept in Hickory.

Thanks for your response. I would like to meet Mr. Perry. I'm sure it would be a real learning experience. I may be going to the Kennebec River in Maine at that time. Stay tuned. Tom
