| I have come across a new headlamp that might be of interest to the nite owls. The company name is STREAMLIGHT and the model name is SEPTOR. what is unique about this light is that it lit by LED's. The life expectantcy of the LED's is reputed to be 100,000 hours, and the expected battery life is 150 hours for the 3 AAA's. I purchased one about a month ago and have been using at work. So far I've got 50+ hours on the original batteries with no drop off in lighting. The light is extremely light weight and comfortable, with a fully adjustable strap around and over. The light is adjustable to 3 intensities, 1,3, or all 7 LED's with the push of a switch. Sorry for sounding like a pitchman (I have nothing to do with the company). I just feel it's a very worthwhile product. Cost was $35.00 with batteries. Comes with lifetime warranty.[:)] [:)] | |

| My son uses one of those, and loves the thing. I don't fish after dark anymore, but need to get one for picking crawlers.[] | |

| Well, since you brought it up, I've got one full season of hunting/fishing (limited fishing anyway) on my Lightwave Illuminator headlight and absolutely love it! It is similar to the one you describe, with LED bulbs, and very lightweight. The light emitted is a bright white light, but not harsh. Batteries are still strong after a full year.

| Handy, I ordered mine from a Snap-On tool salesman. I knew he carried their line of flashlights so figured he could get them. Have yet to see them in any stores. I'm from Stevens Point, so am close to you. If you would like I could get one for you. Took about 2 weeks. Let me know via E-mail if you're interested. | |
