Heading up north this weekend and was thinking of trying the cisco chain. Never fished it and was looking for a few pointers on lakes, baits and structure. Only have a wisconsin liscence so I think I have to stay on the lakes that are on the border. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I fished Mamie lake long time ago and I don't catch musky! No followers....few small northerns! Hire a guide or cast bucktail to keep moving until you find fish. Study on good map to find weeds, flat close to drop off, fallen trees, and humps.

I fished the chain last week. Lots of perch and walleye holding on the deep edges of weedlines. With that said there has to be a good number of musky holding there too. That is where I would start anyway.

Otherwise it was hit or miss for us. Didnt even move a pike in the shallow weeds.

Looks like next week will have more stable weather so you may have better luck than us.

Let us know how you do!
