| What ones have you guys found to be the most reliable, best built trailer tire?... I'm looking at ordering the Maxxis M8008s... Goodyears are not an option. People that travel with there boat OVER or way over 2,000miles a year please reply... |

| had nothing but problems with goodyears, will never own em again. Did a little research and found out other guys had problems as well..I'll loook into the Kumho |

| Goodyear tires are not made in the US anymore, from what I was told about 5-6 years ago.
I've heard good things about Maxxis tires. Carlisle had issues, but I believe they made changes in design and production a few years ago. Have heard some positive stuff the past several years.
I got 5 years of good service from the tires that came on my TuffTrail tandem axle trailer. As far as I know, the current owner still has them on two years later. Sorry, I don't know the MFG, but I can find out.
Biggest thing with trailer tires is to keep them inflated to max. If they're run soft, they get hot and come apart. Doesn't matter who makes them. |

| My cheap loadstars from Pomps Tire have performed exceptionally well over the past couple years. Before that, I had GY Marathons that were awesome. Lasted about 7 years on those. |

Location: Mayville, WI | On the work boat, we've got off-brand Goodride Super ST that have seen 2 years worth of 12-14,000 miles a year with no issues (not my choice, put on at the local shop as generics, but pleasantly surprised so far).
On my personal boat, I've got GY Marathons for the past 3 years with ~3000-3500 miles a year and no issues there either. |

| I'm on my second season on Goodyear marathons and honestly they are working great. I heard of many problems with the marathons. But I'm impressed with mine so far. Had the carlisle tires and they are F-N junk. If you trailer alot buy the best, if ya only trailer from house to boat landing (short distance) it doesn't matter. I've heard from the walleye circuit guys that travel 1000s of miles a season (to catch a walleye?) that they are very impressed with the Kumho 857 and the maxxis tire. Like SHEP said keep your tires at max psi. The Gdyr Marathons even recommend running a higher psi then max if your driving 70mph or more. |

Location: Kodiak, AK | I wanted the Khumo's but couldn't easily get them locally so I went with Carlisles and they (set of four) just came 5,000 miles with me to AK through BS backwood roads. They've done well for me in the four months I've owned them. |

Location: Stones throw away...finally!! | Was looking into the Kumho 857, but very limited size offerings. Unless I am looking at it incorrectly, they don't offer a 215/75R14. Am I just not seeing it? |

I would look at that first. Then you can make a choice of tire from many lines. |

| Been running GY Marathons for several years now. Biggest mistake people make is under inflation. I don't have and odometer on the trailer to know how many miles I put on each year but between going to Falcon Lake Texas and Minaki, On and fishing Iowa every weekend there isn't ice, I have never had any problems. Always rotate and have balanced.

| Have the Kumos and I put on a lot of rough miles they are doing awesome. The marathons I had all lost their treads and tore up my trailer, they will never grace the rims of my trailer again, thanks Goodyear.....Not!!!!! Chinese made garbage. |
