I have the stow master tournament series TS94IM net and love it for the most part, but here is my complaint. The bag seems to create a tangled mess every time you scoop up a musky. I spend as much time untangling the lure from the net as I do the fish. I have read about replacing the bag with another brand, but forgot where. Any suggestions?

The hooks tangling is my only complaint as well. The older Stowmaster had different netting that wouldn't tangle the hooks but it was harder to net fish for a person fishing solo, especially in current or high wind conditions. You might want to check the netting that Frabil uses for their Power Stow nets. Stowmaster licensed out their design to Frabil.

I also have that net. I love everything about it , but the bag. Usually have to cut every single hook on the bait otherwise it would take an hour to untangle the bag. I definitely need to replace the bag. I will look into the frabill replacement.

Get a Frabill Power Catch "Big Game" (32"x41", #4666) replacement net bag.

http://frabill.com/landing-nets/replacement-netting/4666.html

Fits the Stowmaster hoop, works way better than the small mesh tangle.

I have the bigger TS116 and replaced the bag with the 4666. It solved the tangle problem and is a great net. However, it is more net than I can handle solo especially in current.

SixBowls-

Does the 4666 replacement net fit on the stowmaster TS116 ok? Frabill says it's for up to 32x41 hoop size, and the TS116 is 36x38. I had to replace the net on my TS116 because mice got at it during the winter and I got one from stowmaster, it's way lighter than the original, but a few muskies have done a number on it already, so I'm looking for one that's a bit tougher.

yes the 4666 net fits the TS116. That is the exact net combo I have. Stowmaster hoop, Frabill netting.

Agree. I was concerned with the hoop measurements too but you won't be disappointed with the fit. Awesome net if you have a fishing partner

I have decided like many others to match up the stowmaster with the frabill 4666. You guys cannot imagine how hard it is to find one right now. If anyone has any leads, it would be appreciated.

Thorne Bros, Rollie and Helens both have them available.

I spoke with a rep at Frabill concerning a replacement bag for the StowMaster TS94IM and she said their engineers recommended Model # 4665. Has anyone tried this combination? Thanks.

Big Kahuna bag on the Stowmaster. Love the net, bag is....well, let's just say I agree with previous posters. Don't know why they haven't made a change there......actually dangerous for fish and fisherman when they get tangled in that small mesh. Replacement bags are expensive....be ready to pay what most people would not be willing to pay for an entire net for other species.

The small mesh bag on the Stowmaster is horrible. A complete tangled mess. Lost our first fish ever in 12 years on LOTW last year in that tangled mess on LOTW. Cut hooks. Cut net. Complete mess.

Really sad to see a 47" floating away because of the net.

Needless to say that's the last time we ever used that Stowmaster. We were "testing" it compared to The Big Kahuna we were used to using.

Test FAILED. Needless to say we were happy we had the Kahuna as a 2nd net that week.

Nice to see others share the concern of the dangers of these to our musky. Maybe we can get them to actually quit using this net bag.

I have checked Thorne brothers, Rollie and helens and smokeys. It seems that the replacement bags are behind schedule since Plano purchased frabill. Hopefully things get caught up soon.
