Location: Detroit River | Back it up to a memory card then transfer it using the memory card. You should keep a back up anyway just in case your system takes a crap. |

Location: Elgin, IL | Should be able to look up unit through Lowrance. Should not be hard. As mentioned above download to memory card and transfer. Put it in a dry safe place after transfer. As you keep collecting more info download and save. Same goes with updating data version on a separate card.

| Lowrance has a free software download you can use to manage your waypoints. You will need an SD card to upload the data from your unit. I know some of the older units don't work well with the high capacity cards so try to use one that is less than 2gb for sure and if you have a smaller chip use that. When I got my data off my LMS-520 I was unable to view the points in the lowrance software on my computer. I was told to use a program called GPS babel which is a free ware. I converted the data using babel and then I was able to view the waypoints in the lowrance software. |
