They enjoy being chummed with chunks of carrots. Then on your cane rod you hook up a sweet patatoe wich is no easy task.

Or just read any of the few threads on each page and within 5 minutes you will know, Id stick with carrot chum

In case you are looking for an honest answer I will provide a bit of advice.

First, take some time and read through many of the threads on this website. Next, ask a pointed question and you are more likely to get a helpful answer. Your current encompasses too much for one to answer effectively. It would be like asking a Doctor, why do people become ill and how do you treat diseases.

If you want the short answer: Muskie prefer large lures and baits when compared to other species. The rods, reels and line are heavy duty to handle the large fish and the large size of the lures.

Muskie live in typically large lakes in the northern great lake region (US and canadian side). They can be found in all regions of a lake depending on conditions.

You picked the right site to post on so youre on the right track. Do a lot of reading on here and don't be afraid to ask questions especially highly specific ones. As for your question its vague, but like stated above they prefer large baits which in turn needs the right tackle to go along with it so do some research on here and figure out what direction to head. As of where it all depends on the time of year, but again all this inform can be found on this site using the search tool. Welcome to the addiction and good luck!
