I am considering a Lund Pro V. Mostly Musky fishing both casting and trolling. Anyone with any experience with this boat for musky fishing please let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

Hiya,

Had a buddy who owned a ProV for about 10 years and it worked really well for Walleyes, but with the wide gunnels it was not as conducive for figure 8's next to the boat. For the water being fished it was good as it could handle big water without issue.

I own a Pro-V and muskie fishing is all I do out of it. Great boat!

Muskies, figure 8's, Smallies, Wally's, Salmon, whatever. It will handle it.
And mine is old school, so....

Sure, there are other choices. Some are great ships too. But, for me and what I do, it works well.

Go for it.

I had a 2001 1775 for six years and it worked perfectly for Muskies....The only drawback on mine was the rear deck was small, the splash well went the entire back. The front deck was awesome. good luck.

With most of us using longer rods, figure 8's are not an issue in the Pro V. I have a 1994 tiller 1775. Fished out of it for many years. No plans to change. Great boat.

I have an 1800 Pro V tiller and have no problems fishing out of the front. With 8.5 ft & 9 ft rods figure eigths are no problem. Fishing from the back is doable but there isn't much of a raised area to stand on and the bait well and tiller handle can get in the way. I like it and would consider another if I was in the market

I have a Pro-V 1900. We musky fish out of it all the time. I built a casting platform in the back over the bait well that works great for casting for everything! My brother fishes out of the front and with the longer 8-6 rods work great for figure 8's.
