Thanks to Tight-lines and the Revo Toro deal, I am going to be able to put together a dedicated sucker rod with my soon-to-be-spare c4 6600. Any recommendation for a reasonably priced sucker rod?

I bought a 60hs from that thread too and decided just to grab a Mojo Musky from St. Croix. Gander Mountain online has a $30 rebate so the rod was $120.

It just needs enough backbone to handle the hookset, past that it really doesn't matter. I used an $18 made in China fiberglass wonder called "Ole Yeller" and it did just fine.

My Heavy TDR seems like it would be pretty limber for suckers. There's a lot of rod to bend before getting into the backbone and I think the quick hard snap needed to rip the rig free would be tough with a TDR.
I use a Bass Pro 7'6" Cat Maxx rod and an 8' tackle Industries Live bait/trolling rod for suckers and both have the guts to give the hooks a quick hard snap.
I'd like to find a good sucker rod for $20 but it seems like the glass rods that aren't light and whippy in the tip are in the $60-$100 range. I haven't tried it but the TI XXH would probably work well too. I'm sure the old XXXH ST Croix would really hammer them too but pretty big money for a sucker rod.
