I have some new in the package line, but I am not sure how old it is. Does braid go bad? Thanks, BR

Ben as long as it was not stored in sunlight Braid will last for years, I just spooled some reels up with Whiplash Braid that is close to 10 years old and still as strong as it was when I got it 10 years ago. I store my line in a sealed plastic bag and stored in a dark cool drore

I agree with PIKE. it will last.. I keep all my spools in a shoe box under the bed. UV light is what causes it to dry up.

I use mine for 2 years, then tie the line to a tree and remove all the line, then reverse the line and spool it back up. New line on the outside now and 2 more years. Never had an issue but I use 80# or 100#. Braid will not oxidize very fast either like mono can but even mono has some serious antioxidants and UV inhibitors in it to keep it strong for a long time. Never thought chemistry would be your friend
