What is your favorite spot or kind of structure to throw rubber like bull dawgs and medusas? I'm assuming guys can't throw them over shollow rock reefs and weed beds?

You most certainly can. And if you cannot, get yourself a Hardhead and run it with no weight, and a paddletail on it rather than the grub tail. I ran one last year over a rock bar topping out at 1'.

Rubber works everywhere except thick weeds.

The shallow dogs were made for using over weed beds & rock bars. Pumping dogs above cabbage and occasionally making contact is a great way to draw a strike or move a fish on a slow day, or cold front.

Location: sneaking out to get on the water ;-)
Dawgs love it everywhere except the weeds that are so thick they form a carpet on top.

How do guys usually fish the bigger baits like mag dawgs and pounders? Pull to the right a few feet and reel slack? Or more of a jig where you twitch upwards and feel slack? Seems like even with a revo toro hs these baits can get pretty deep in a hurry. Just started over thinking about keep too deep and below the fish on some spots. I feel like I'm reeling like a bar out of hell when I cast these baits in less the 6 or 7 feet of water to keep them from getting snagged lol! Hopefully someone can relate to this and get a laugh out of it!!!

You can fish the Dawgs pretty shallow. It can help to bend the harness upwards a little (bend the nose up). They fish a little shallower and seem to fall at a shallower angle this way. Switch hands during the cast, Start reeling when the bait hits the water, and do the pulls with rod tip up rather than to the side. Can work them pretty shallow like this.

Or buy a shallow version and take your time working it.
