Hi guys , I have to share this here. One of our top Pro Staffers ( Will Schultz) asked me to build a Shallow running 12" bait based off our Deepthreat body design. I sent this lure to him for testing and he made a short Video for me. We are still getting the dive curve info but so far are very happy with how this bait performs. The target is shallow water , cold water ,BIG FISH. Green Bay, Lake St Clair, Mil Lacs etc. If it does this at 3.5 It will move perfect in 39 degree water at 2.5 .

That looks pretty cool! How does the action of the Deepthreat compare to this shallow running one? I don't have any of your baits. I still need to change that some day.

The Action is very different then the Deep Diving version which has a more traditional swimming action much like the Parrywinkle, Hooker and other wire through lip designs like Tuff Shads , Rippin Shads etc..
This Shallow bait acts a lot more like our little 4 inch Shallow Rippin Shad. (Exaggerated belly roll).There is already talk of casting this lure. We are also considering smaller versions. For now though we are finishing up the dive curve and testing this one for what it was designed for. Shallow Trolling for Big Fish. I have the lure listed on our website now and are building bodies in preparation to produce these for this falls trolling season. Mike

I have not yet begun to invent !!!!
Michelle and I are making videos now. We just shot some footage of the 8 inch Stubby and its 3 foot wander path. Very exciting stuff. We are doping video and dive curve stuff over the next three weeks on either Lake Michigan or a smaller sand bottom lake near our house.

Hi Steve, that was the first Video I have ever posted and really dont know what you mean by imbed it. I am illiterate when it comes to Videos. I am assuming the way I posted it eats too much bandwidth or something. Can you fix it?

We ran the Grub tails up to 5 mph a few days ago. They even wander when you push them to the panic zone.
he new bait is coming along nice. Will doesn't think it will go deeper then 10 feet. So far 50 feet back 7 feet down. Im guessing 8 feet will be the deepest it will go with like 75 feet back.

We are considering both 10 and 15 inch models. This one is built off our 12 inch deep threat body. Different lip and placement but the same wire through harness and hook locations. I already have 10 and 15 inch blanks in stock. Just have to make a pattern but for now We are finishing the details on this lure. So far we are real pleased with the performance of the Prototype.
