Location: Minneapolis, MN | Is there any place in the Minneapolis metro area that people can recommend for getting surgical tubing? After only 1 outing the surgical tubing on the trailer hook for my MM Cyco 2.5 tore and now it doesn't hold the hook in place. I stopped by Thorne Bros and all they have is shrink tubing. |

Location: Eastern Ontario | No idea about the tubing but after loosing a couple of large fish because my trailer keeper had shifted up to the barb of the main hook. I now take the center out of an electrical crimp connector and use half to crimp my trailer where I want it. It now stays in place. I named my favourite spinner bait after my friend Joe. Joe don't have no hair left either.
edit: you might find surgical tubing at a larger Drug Store or medical supply. |

I was looking for something in the area so I could get it quickly and avoid shipping costs but I'll look at those as well. |

Location: Pewaukee, WI | I think you'd be better off using 1/4" (or smaller depending on the eye size) shrink tubing. You can get a small packet of it at most any hardware store. Slip a quarter inch piece over the eye, heat it up and you're done. |

Location: E. Tenn | That 1/4 " tubing won't fit over the eye of a hook of any size. |

Location: Pewaukee, WI | Sure it will Mike. I've used it on many occasions for the 6/0, 7/0, 8/0, & 9/0 trailer hooks on the spinnerbaits I make. If you use a 1/4" with a 2:1 shrink ratio you'll find that it works fine. |
