| I want to install hydraulic steering on my 2004 TR186 Triton bass boat and this morning I measured what I think I need for hose length. It was around 14' without a lot of slop. Has anyone install hydraulic steering before and knows if its better to have longer hoses then needed or try to make them as taunt as possible?

| You can't make them longer if you are wrong. I think most dealer rigged boats have some slop. | |
