Location: MPLS Metro | Wanted to see if anyone has had any issues towing your boat with the white, protective covers on your sonars? I got one on the counsel behind the winshield and one up on the front mounted on a ram mount that I swing to the floor. I just got the covers and says it states that you should only use when the boat is idol but seen alot of guys towing with them on. Anyone lost one towing??

Location: MN | We have them on in case a rock flies up or something like that. We added a small strip of self-adhesive Velcro - a piece of the hook on the unit and the the cover, and a strip of the loop to connect the patches of hook. This holds it on for us. |

Location: Twin Cities, MN | The covers for the older models, I used a giant rubber band to make sure it was secure. For the new HDS models I have had them on while towing both bow and console with no problems. It is usually a 30 minute trip to and from the river / lake I fish. |

Location: Savage, MN | I leave mine on all the time. The first time I traveled it came off but thankfully landed in the boat and suprisingly stayed there. Now I use a small, thin bungee cord around each and have never had a problem since. Those little cords are about $.50 at most hardware stores. |

Location: MPLS Metro | Thanks for the feedback guys. I went and got some selfstick, heavy duty velcro hook tabs and put one on all for corners of the unit and cover then cut some loop strap to connect across each pair. Hopefully this will do the trick. Ill let you know how it works
