| Hey there, thanks! It was crazy, I took the wife out for her first time and to ease her into it I figured we'd do some open water trolling just trying to hunt down schools of bait fish. I actually stopped the boat because I thought I had something going on with the other line and I hear the drag rip on the other rod and look over and it's bent in half. Guessing the fish was following it and ate it on the halt. Picked it up and had no idea the fish would be that #*^@ big. It was pretty acrobatic, too. Jumped about 3 feet out of the water about 20 yards boatside, looked like something outta a movie! Got her on the board and was 56" on the nose, did a quick girth check - 24". Let her go to get bigger. After that we raced to the watering hole. Usually I'm pretty die hard, but this one called for immediate celebration!! |

Location: 31 | What a fantastic fish and excellent story too boot. I would llike to see some release shots of that beast! I'm not trying to take anything away from this spectacular catch, but it would certainly appear that the measurement police don't question every giant fish as some would have you believe. |

| Hey guys - thanks a lot, I'm still pinching myself here and the flashbacks don't seem to be going away anytime soon. Figured I'd throw out a few pics of her on the board and being released.
