Hey everybody,
Pretty new to the forum and mostly used it for buy/sell baits & tackle. However, I have the opportunity to fish Vermilion in September for a week and wanted to get a little planning done before hand. I've seen the Keyes Outdoors episode where they throw pounders, but it is filmed throughout November (a few months later). I've also read that the west side is notoriously bigger fish, with a smaller population and visa versa on the east end.
Not trying to get anyone's water out of them, just general information would be much appreciated. Traveling from Utah and I see this as a pretty cool experience that I might not get to have again.
Is there a certain type of structure that would be best to target during that time frame? I know the water temp will change drastically over the next few months, but I appreciate any insight you may have. Feel free to PM if you would rather keep your hard earned work a secret.
Thanks & good luck out there!

If you driving that far and don.t know the lake consider a guide for the day.It would be well worth the money to get a guide early in your trip and make the rest of the week more enjoyable. Look up Matt Snyder or Luke Ronnestad and be thankfull you did !GL

Great suggestion Manny! I'd consider a guide an investment in this situation...and a few more.
