Does anyone else have problems with the tinsel getting balled up on the top hook of their double 10's? More specifically the Bucher models. Do they all do that?

I have had problems with the Bucher twisting around (not flaring) and getting stuck on the hook. There are 2 ways I know to fix it:
1. Buy a Llungen DC-10
2. Buy a glittertail

There are several brands that tangle and twist. Tinsel seems to tangle in everything, all the way down to the beads. I make my own and use the .016, saltwater tinsel...thicker and minimal tangling.

Also, the use of Boo and hair, or silicone incorporated with tinsel will also limit tangling, twisting. I also use a spinnerbait head as a lure body, and shrink tube my dressings to that head to keep it from twisting...:)

One thing you can do is shrink a piece of shrink tube on the shank of the top hook right up to the bend of the trebles. Depending on the "balling" you are experiencing it may not solve that, but the one thing it will do for sure is keep the tinsel from getting caught/stuck in the crevice of the treble. By the way, I hate tinsel on these! Prefer the larger flashabou.
