I came across this looking at back home's news just now. I also realize it is for food cost at the hatcheries, and has nothing to do with their survival rates outside of them. Worth talking about? |

| I personally think that because the manufactured food probably contains more nutrients and vitamins that it would be better for them, The only downside is that maybe because there going to be used of eating the lab made food they are going to have a hard time trying to find food that's non-man made. Good article.

Location: oswego, il | illinois uses man made food to raise their fish from the time the yoke sac depletes untill the minnow finishing before release. cost is the biggest factor using pellets and they use well water untill they go into the ponds which has no plankton. iowa uses lake water which is plankton rich, which illinois hatchery does not have at their disposal. I hope they pick the right man made diet, illinois had issues with some of them and rheir survival rates. |
