Subject: A Team Bucktails

I am headed up to Canada at the end of July and will be doing some Muskie fishing for a week. I am very successful on the Lake I am going to throwing Double Cowgirls. Actually that is pretty much all I throw excluding some topwater when the conditions are right.

I have only thrown DCGs to this point and haven't tried any other brands. One of the brands I have been looking at is the A Team tackle's bucktails by Bob Mehsikomer. The only reason I am interested is he talks about how they don't wear him out like the other brands. I really don't have that big of problems with the DCGs but I will try anything.

Does anyone know anything about the A Team bucktails? Do they pull less and do they catch fish like the DCGs?

Thanks,

Bob makes quality bucktails but they have Different style blades which do seem to pull less because of how they displace the water. I prefer esox assault bucktails in a EA9s compared to 10s. Lighter bait and easier to pull with not much difference in water displacement. Just my .02cents. Different strokes for different folks.

One trick to try if you want your blades to pull easier is to take a pliers and bend/cup the blades a little. They wont flare out as much making it easier to pull.

And when you bend the cup out a bit your bucktails will generally ride a little deeper
