Location: Merrill, Wisconsin | I'm new to This sport and I bought this reel off the trading post here and I love the reel but I'm realizing the 4.6 gears pull baits like nothing, but it's so slow retrieve speed. I wanna fish mag dogs to double 10's and 8's. what's the ideal gear speed for me? And what am I looking at for a cost to do it? |

Location: Lake St Clair | 5.4 for general use and 6+ works well for rubber.
I have the 6.4 nacl and it's handles rubber great. |

For converting my Winch 61 to a HS costs $1.43 for the yoke, $16.70 for the pinion and $25.43 for the drive gear for a total of $43.56 in parts. This is for a 61 series, 60 might be a bit cheaper or 5.4:1 gears as well (but I doubt it). |

If U go over $50.00 in Parts they will give a 25% off but when they add the sales tax and shipping back on U don't get much of a discount. |

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | Also if anyone is going to do the gear swap replace the fiber drag washer under the main gear with a #11 Carbontex Drag washer from SMOOTH DRAGS. another $5.00 but well worth it as it will make the drag sytem alot smoother. |
