Subject: New reel


Im looking to replace my Abu 6500 C3. I use it mainly for throwing double 8's. What would you suggest for around $200 or less? I was thinking about a Calcutta 400b, will that handle double 8's well without a power handle?

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished		look for a Curado on Ebay or on here for that matter. That reel is awesome, I used one twice this season and that reel made me a believer.

Location: Minneapolis, MN		For an all around reel I would get a Calcutta 400b, but if all I was going to do was throw blades and swim baits I'd get the new Diawa Saltist (the black one).

In that $ range I'd get a Revo Nacl 5.4-1 on ebay for about $235.. Most have free shipping..

Comes with a power handle.. Slightly nicer than a Calcutta B..

Anyone use the diawa lexa with the power handle? Will that hold up to double 8'd?
