Doe's anyone remember how to perform a hard reset on a LMS 350A from the mid to late 90's?
I have lost the bottom read but still have the digital depth, temp and speed. I would love to get a new main locator but many of my main spots are easy to fish from the bow.
I do feel that without my lcd I will have trouble verifying weed growth and baitfish while approaching and scouting known spots.
I would like to try to perform a reset possibly soft and then hard to see if anything happens before I decide to look into new locators.

Thanks
Steve

If you want to reset to original factory settings - instructions are on page 83 of above link, if that doesn't work call Lowrance - they have good customer service -IMO

From the website, hard rest for LMS 350A

1. Turn unit OFF
2. Press and hold the CLR key 2. Press and hold the upper left hand corner key
3. Turn unit ON 3. Turn unit ON
4. Release both buttons when unit powers up 4. A test screen appears
5. Release upper left hand corner key
6. Press the CLR key
7. Shut unit off

Just remember with a Hard Reset it will Delete stored GPS Data such as Waypoints and trails.

Thanks-

right after I posted I googlemachined the question and also found info in the second response. I missed it in the manual on pg 83 that I have.

Good Luck

You don't have to do a hard restart, somewhere in the system menu you can turn the sonar on/off.
Also it may be set on 200hz digital 50hz screen sonar. easy to change.
Sorry I don't remember exactly how.

Expect more of these glitches as the internal battery fails.
