Location: Madison, WI | They are only being made for Mercury outboards from now on. Apparently, there are no alternatives (competing products).
So, unless you have a Mercury, you likely will never be able to buy one new.

| I just had mine installed.... O my gosh what a difference.
30 pounds on pull with my 90 hp at full speed. down to zero with the system. Once I'm finished rigging my boat I will post some pics.

Mercury bought Mertans back in 2009 which haulted produdtion for systems for anything but Mercury. Smart marketing I guess.... Wish I had one on my Yamaha! |

| I would start calling the dealers for Titan, I found one for my yammy f90 in 2011. Had it shipped and I installed it myself, took about an hour. Very easy installation. |

Location: Forest Lake, Mn. | I have the Merten's system on my 2005 Yamaha 90. Haven't used the boat in a few years, have had other things on my mind. So I read here that Merc bought out Mertens and no longer produces the system for other motor brands. So what about parts or service for my system should I need it? Am I out of luck? |

| Have a perfectly good Titan Tiller power steering unit, set up for a Evinrude 75-90 HP motpr.. I bought a new Mercury and the unit could not be adapted since Mercury bought the rights from Merten Marine. If interested have pictures of all factory components. |

| It isn't a system exactly like Mertens or Titan, but maybe an option for you folks.
A buddy of mine has this installed and overall he really likes it. 90HP Honda is what he has.

| Have a Merten Unit for sale as I bought a new Mercury engine and found out that the unit could not be adapted i.e. Mercury bought Merten's design right.
