Just wondering if anyone has fished Harris in Vilas county the past year or so? My family used to vacation on the lake, and the last time we were up there, the DNR found curly pond weed, and treated the areas with it. This is still one of my favorite lakes, even though I have yet to land a musky on it. Just wondering if the "treatment" worked, and if the beautiful cabbage beds are coming back. My wife and I are planning to fish it either this year or next, depending on our crazy schedules.

Weeds were gone two years ago. This past fall had a few monsters follow. But nothing hooked. The weeds came back. I think DNR killed everything but weeds were good last fall.

Awesome, that's good to hear. My brother and I fished the fall of 2010 during the big sucker shortage. He ended up with a 36", with about a half hour to go in our long weekend. We talked to a bunch of guys who did have suckers, and the muskies actually killed them by headbutting them. Happy to have the lake veggies are making a comeback.
