Hi all,

Was up on Little Arb and saw 4 snakes swimming in the water which was running in the low 60's. All the snakes were dark brown with black bars and all were between 15" to 30" long. Are these pine snakes?

Just curious.

It's all those flashbacks everybody talked about back in the 80's.

Odds are it was a northern watersnake. Common on various lakes in the area. http://dnr.wi.gov/eek/critter/reptile/watersnake.htm
