| What boat lights must you have on while night fishing, specifically if you are moving. I would imagine that every state is different but more than likely similar. |

| Found it. White light in the back that can be seen 360 degrees and a red/green light in the front.

Been on the Big Chip after dark lately? lol On the Chip we only run our lights when we are going in for the night , we never use them when fishing.

Location: Ames, Iowa | When still fishing at night on Leech I use just the front light, cause seeing out of the boat with the white light on is a killer. When trolling, both lights going and I just have to work harder to see or shut down the white light for a sec to see out. |

| Put a white t-shirt or a white hat on the white stern light. Best of both worlds |

Location: Hayward, WI | I don't LIKE having the white light on while fishing at night, but it's the law and in my opinion not safe to leave it off. If you run with the bow light only nobody behind you can see you.
It's also annoying to drive half way across the lake to a spot just to see white boat lights turning on when 150 yards away. I haven't tried putting a sock over the light yet but might have to try that and see how well it's still seen from a reasonable distance. |

Location: E. Tenn | I've seen folks use either a Frisbee or a pie tin with the center cut out to fit over the base of the light.. Seems to cut down the glare inside the boat.

That is an ingenious contraption... and cheaper too!
BTW... I live south of the Mason-Dixon line...WTH is "hockey" tape? |

Location: Gilberts IL/Rhinelander WI | Lol. Hockey tape, what hockey players put on the stick. To grip the puck as well as on the handle. Many uses. It's like a canvas duct tape, most common in a 1" wide roll. |
