I'm looking for a new rod to throw jerks and twitch baits over using my old 7'6" Premiers, and am considering the Lip Stick, but from the specs the Sling Blade seems to be the Lip Stick with 9" more length. Does anyone have both and how do they compare, especially for this use. I have the Long Ranger for throwing blades as I prefer a softer rod, than some do.

Suicks, Big Daddy, DDD, DD, Squirrely Burts, Jakes, Sledges, light rubber, etc. are what I'm interested in throwing with whichever one I choose.

Lip Stick for me. I like the sling blade for the twitchbaits and rubber, I like the lip stick for all the lures you mentioned.
they have the same lure ratings but these rods don't behave the same. Sling blade is much faster.

I've got both. The lipstick is my Suick and Phantom rod. Slingblade for large cranks, double tens, regular bulldawgs. I have Calcutta 400D's on both of them.

I have a lip stick and love it... probably my favorite rod that i own. But I think the 2-6 ounce rating is a little deceiving. For me it's more of a 3/4 to 4 ounce rod.
