Location: Land of the Musky | Tackle Industries will be donating 10 brand new 9' musky rods. Should be a great time and for a great cause. I bet a lot of guys will leave with more than their entry fee in fishing tackle

Location: Bloomington, MN | What's the pay out??? First off for $65/per head, 2 per boat, you get a fantastic hat and a great chicken dinner. I hope they have the baby red potatoes this year! Secondly, you get to spend the day with some of the most wonderful people that share your common interest of the pursuit of the elusive muskellunge. Thirdly, this is the best, the proceeds go to a very genuine charity, The Ronald McDonald House of Marshfield, WI.. The tournament headquarters are held at a historic tavern on Pelican Lake. The owners and tournament operators know how to successfully run and accomodate 200+ anglers for this one day event. Pelican Lake does have a 50" size limit, so it is a non-transport tournament. The past tournaments you can register a fish 34"+, so I'm not solid on the rules this year. There will be judge boats positioned throughout the lake, and you are given cell #'s to contact the judge for the areas you may obtain a fish. I do not know what the total inches "payola" is this year, but I'm sure it would be at least $1000 for the winning team. Here is the Clincher, if you are the first boat to capture a 50" muskie, you get a new Tuffy Boat. Last year it was an X190 which would be well over $40k from a dealer. I don't care if it is a 15" Tuffy Rogue w/ a 6 hp. Eska this year, because Pelican has 50"+ fish. If you get a 50" on a Suick manufactued lure, leave the bait in the critters mouth until an official judge boat arrives. It could earn you an additional $10k, so most people in their right minds with a skinny wallet will be tossing a Suick. The entry fee is so minimal for the experience, so please for those attending any extra you can contribute to the Ronald McDonald House would be greatly appreciated. Only 58 days until this great event! |

Location: Hopefully on the water | Great run tournament. Our entry form is going out tomorrow. New partner this year for me. My son is fishing it with me and looking forward to it. I think it is one of the smoothest run tourneys I have fished and like Clark says where the proceed go to is well worth it. Good luck everyone. |
