Subject: Mono on abu's?


I have a couple of the abu garcia "cheap" reals. I think thy are the c4??? Like a 6400 or 5400? One is blue and gold the other is red and silver. -sorry i dont really pay attention -its a long story. Anyway, can i put mono line in these? I fish reqlly clear lakes and it seems my small bass rod set up with mono gets more action .

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin		I have mono on a couple C3 models, use 'em for bass and creature fishing Muskies.

I agree with the maven. I have 14 lb. mono on a 5500c3 and 20 lb. mono on a 6500c3. But for God's sake, don't use anything but Extra Tough mono. You'll be sorry if you do.
