How can you tell if it is a clogged intake or a bad water pump/impeller?

It just sprays a very light mist and was just working fine a few days ago?

Any help is appreciated.......

Thanks, Rob Gabriele

Rob clean the tube out with a small pc of wire. and then run some water threw it with a pressure nozzle, sounds like a little crap in the tube. JB

Weed wacker line and some compressed air should bust her loose if it is plugged.

If its a bad impeller, the water temp alarm will be going off. The tell tale is just there to let you know the impeller is working, the majority of cooling water goes out through the prop hub.

I run an 04 60hp johnson for work and, what you are describing, sounds like an obstruction for the pee hole. Most of the time, its right at the hole and you can pull the hole plug out and blow it out with your mouth. If not, follow the instructions listed above.
