Location: Greenfield, WI | We will be out on Pewaukee as part of the Milwaukee Chapter Muskies Inc Outing vs. Quad County (IL) which I believe is into more than 20 years.
Water temperatures were in the 50's last weekend, most of this week is supposed to be partly sunny and in the 70's, which should get temps up some. |

I find that hard to believe. You seem to do a pretty good job any time your boat hits the water. |

Location: north central wisconsin | Wisconsin River backwaters, chasing a post spawn snacker. Our club(Consolidated Musky Club Inc.) will be holding our annual river south of 10 outing on Saturday, with headquarters at Anchor Bay Bar and Grill at 6:00PM for pizza and refreshments/raffle. If any of the locals are interested, stop in, we'd be glad to have you. Cost for the outing is $15, with any proceeds going back into the flowage for stocking. We had our spring banquet last night, and while I haven't tallied the numbers, we will be able to purchase a few pit tags, and fish to put them in, this fall. Thanks to all who attended, and those board members that helped me out with raffles(Todd Forcier, Al Witt, Don Kempen, Chuck Schauer, Don Schillinger). Good luck this weekend guys!!! |

| For those of you heading to Pewaukee Saturday beware! There is a huge sailboat race that ends saturday. This is a national race that is one of the biggest races they have ever had on Pewaukee! I will be out there too if the wife does get called into work. Saw 2 swim past pier on Sunday and the floating weeds were already starting to get bad.

| Just had lunch at the lake, got my annual launch permit, and I noticed the whole lake full of sail boats. Where the heck do they get off thinking that's what the lake is for anyway? Yipes, it's an invasion! |

| To me Saturday is more like the beginning of spring training in baseball or training camp in football. It gets you excited for the upcoming season but the true opening weekend is a little later.
That said....I'll be out somewhere on Saturday morning for a few hours. |

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | I will be out on Pewaukee Saturday afternoon. There is a slight chance I will make it out at first light. Planning on hitting the water at noon and fishing muskies till dawn then picking on the walleyes for a few hours in the evening.
Junkman your free to be my wingman anytime. Plenty of muskies to go around. Jimmy and I can hold our own but May is not a month for nunbers.
The muskies are in full spawn mode and the males should be somewhat active and catchable. The big females are going to be very hard for a few weeks.
Personally I will be targeting those crazy love sick mid thirtys males that should be shallow and active.
Good luck to all. |
