Location: Land of the Musky | This is not set in stone yet but how does this look for my new SuperD color "Camo-D". My intent here is to use some of the money I typically use for donations and make lures with it. The various veterans organizations will get the lures and can use them at the various functions and shows they attend. A suggested donation will be asked for each lure. I hope this will raise a lot more money for the Veterans benefits in 2014. I plan on making 500-1000 of each size (Regular and Mag SuperDs).
OK-so this is where the M1 crowd comes in. My objective was to make a lure that had the digital camo. I choose more of the Marine colors as they look more like a natural frog. I also will tip the tail in black. I will use green or yellow eyes on the lure. What do you think so far? This is my color prototype #3.
Any constructive comments or is it good to go into production?
Thanks,
James
PS-If anyone is reading this and will be running a Veterans outing, please shoot me an email with details. I plan on sending out some emails in the fall with the lure offerings for the events. [email protected]

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | Thats awesome! I want one. I have wondered this is the past. I like the white belly idea. But what about just making the bottom of the tail white, not the tip, but the bottom running all the way down the tail? idk, just a thought that no one has done yet. |

How about a cream/tan color belly to match something like the color on the below M1 Abrams? Then the lure can still keep the general color theme for military colors. Thoughts? Thanks for the input on this. Can't wait to get these out late this year and for the 2014 shows!

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | Really good Idea James, cream/tan. that would be perfect. Maybe it would also be cool to stamp a little american flag on there somewhere. maybe 1" by 1". Perhaps on the tail tip? |

Looks good to me! I like the idea of a tan belly, it would add some contrast without taking away from the intent of the lure.

Location: Sun Prairie, WI | How about calling it the MARPAT Camo-D since MARPAT is the actual acronym for the digital Marine pattern? Are you able to use that, or does it infringe on some sort of trademark? Just a thought. Cool looking bait! |

Location: Savage, MN | I agree, these are awesome and I would certainly buy one. What about offering them up to the public as well as the orginazations and charging extra for the color and taking any additional money and putting it towards the cost of additional lures for the troops, orginzations or however else it could properly be put to good use. I know that I would certainly pay extra, especially knowing it was going to a great cause. |

Location: sneaking out to get on the water ;-) | They look awesome James! Another vote for selling some to the public and putting the profits back into the program if it's not too much extra work and a total pain. Maybe do only a very limited amount to public each year and they would deffinetly fecth extra especially for such a great cause. |

Location: Land of the Musky | These will definitly be sold to the public. Nice thing about these is 100% of ALL of the $$$ is used for doantion efforts, not just the profits. Easy to run through retailers too. They just pay the face/donation value for the lures and then sell them at that amount. Thanks for all the suggestions! you guys are my marketing force

You could add the USA flag on the belly.

Location: Land of the Musky | The flag might be hard. I had to pay for an expensive mold to get the digital camo on for both sizes. Never hurts to see what it will cost though! That would add some interesting contrast with the red and white stripes. |

| James,
I was thinking : adding the USA flag on the dorsal/back fin, colouring the flag with paint for plastic lure or using powder colors ( the same used by Larry Dahlberg ).
What do you think about?
Otherwise add the Usa flag on the belly using a little adhesive flag.

Location: Land of the Musky | One step further. I think the belly colors looks nice. It matches the desert paint on the tank well. What do you guys think?
Thanks for all the comments. Now you guys will just have to snatch these up when they get released in fall!

Anyone who wants to donate will get one and we are happy to ship anywhere.
Just an added extra but if anyone wants to get one and have me ship to a military address I have no problem doing that either. We ship care packages globally to military personnel all the time. Our lures even find their way into a few fishing clubs overseas like the "Baghdad Fishing Club" and others. Saddam did know how to stock a pond! |
