Anyone do it? Me and a few buddies plan on getting out at midnight on opener due to a brothers grad party at noon on saturday. I personally have never done it that early in the season so I'm not sure on where to start. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I did it once and probably won't again. Depending on where you are and the water temps, it might take the sun to get the fish moving. I could see fish sitting in very shallow water with the flashlight, but they were totally lethargic. With that said, you never know till ya go.

I would target feeder creeks or anywhere with a current warmer then the shallows coming into the lake

I've had success over open water on opening weekend at night in Northern Minnesota. Big blades casted over 20-40 feet off the first break.
