| I was put in charge of planning a once in a lifetime muskie fishing trip to Canada. I had a couple of my own favorites that I've been to but decided to ask you for all of your input so I don't get blamed for a bad experience. This way I can pass the buck to all of you!
This will be for 3 people and price is not a concern. Just want the chance at great fishing and overall experience. You pick the Lake and Lodge.
I tried to get them to go on the MuskieFIRST Saboskong trip but no go. I felt like that outing was the way to go. Thanks for any help.

| Buddy, bring 'em down here for just 1 day....they're sure to go anywhere you suggest the next time![;)] |

| If price is not a concern, then I would talk with the following people. Doug Johnson, Bill Sandy, Dick Pearson, and Steve Hrbeck. Find out if they're available for a week, which weeks, and then pick.
Have a great time![] |

| Buddy,
I would head up to Eagle Lake and stay with Steve Herbeck. I had the wonder opportunity to stay with him for 2 weeks last summer. Saw 50 inch fish everyday, including one that was closer to 60 inches and 50+ pounds.
Also the meals there are great, the staff is perfect, Steve and the other guides are right on the money, and the experience to fish Eagle is like no other.
Another reason I would choose Andy Myers Lodge is because you can drive to the other lakes and get plenty of action or go on a fly-in which is included in your package.
If you would like to know more about this awesome
place check out:

| I go on a couple of fishing trips every year and always hire the best guide on the lake. That's key.
Here are three suggestions in no particuliar order:
1.) LOTW with Doug Johnson or Bill Sandy
2.) Eagle Lake at Hrbeck's (a definate no brainer when you hire Steve as your guide....hire him for 3-4 days. He knows where more 40 pounders swim than any man I know of.)
3.) Head out East. The Niagra area is extremely hit and miss. But the
St. Lawrence and the Ottawa River are unbelievable. If money is no option....Mike Lazarus knows his stuff (email BigFishCarlson and ask him), or hire Rich Collins and fish the Ottawa.
But right now, my gut is telling me to go to Andy Myer's lodge and fish with Steve Hrbeck. |

| A dream trip is relative.
Sure fishing with Doug Johnson, Dick Pearson, Steve Herbeck would be a dream trip.
But if I were to recomend a dream trip I would say.
Take about 3 weeks time and explore Canada with out a guide. Pick a lake and learn it yourself.
Think about the feeling you would have if you earned that 50 pounder by yourself.
just a thought to keep in mind.
Dont get me wrong I have nothing against guides. They serve a purpose. And you get what you pay for with most of them.

| I don't know about that. It takes a long time to learn the water. That why you get a guide. Better plan on more the 3 weeks. A guide would cut the time. [;)] |

| I heard Lake Webster in Indiana has the best muskie fishing in the country! |
