We have all heard the negatives about some aspects of the shows. What about the positives?

Migizi Fishing Rods still has one more show to go (6 down) but here are some of our highlights:
1. Seeing old friends and meeting new ones
2. Finding a new home for the Mr. Toothy rod
3. Filling the tackle box with more lures (H2O, Esox Assault, BWB, pounders, Phantom, believers, Spanky, shadzilla and more)
4. Talking to Larry Dahlberg more
5. Watching the faces of people watching the goliath grouper video I had playing in the booth.
6. TBA

I always enjoy the shows, meeting up with old friends, meeting new ones ( still didnt get a chance to meet Vince as he was always busy when I went by) and picking up new baits.... Great way to kickstart the upcoming season...

Hey Vince,

Great post! I think this goes great as a follow up to How to Improve the Musky Shows. A lot of great comment and replies there. I think this one really focuses on the positive side of things. I sure hope we as manufacturers can implement some of the ideas that people suggested as well as the Show promoters.

1) Learning - Both from the speakers on stage and more personally from each vendor face to face at the booth
2) Shaking hands with those previously met - and also shaking a new hand
3) Talking directly with the vendors telling them your good/bad feedback about baits used and how to possibly improve them
4) Seeing new baits/rods/reels before making a big purchase
5) Deals - especially when made from the vendor directly
6) Exciting your attitude and outlook for the upcoming season

There are many benefits to each show site - whether it be geographic location or specific vendors at each site. I think what has happened to me is that more barriers (cost - time - etc) are also noted. It is up to the vendors and advertisers to overcome these barriers. They strive to get not only those who already are aware of these great shows to the door but also new fisherman each year.

There are many positives of the many muskie expos.
1) Seeing the many many old friends working at the shows;
2) Seeing the many old friends and making new friends who are attending the shows;
3) Seeing all the new "stuff" and hearing all the various opinions on the new "stuff" available at the expo;
4) The great times with the many friends on Friday and Saturday nights after the show closes.
