Surprised this hasn't been posted yet. No Trolling...44 Counties for and 27 against but the majority said no.

WOW! Interesting on the trolling thing...I wouldn't have thought it would have been defeated by that sound of a margin. But it looks like we were very successful in the 54" size limit though:

Length limit for muskellunge in Lake Michigan waters: 2992 1367 Yes 66 5 1 0

I haven't seen the individual results by county just yet, so the 5 counties that voted NO might have been around the bay. I doubt it however, as (traditionally) I think they've been very supportive.

Hopefully it will finally go into effect this time! Not sure how many times the DNR has to ask this question before they accept it. I guess keep asking until you get the answer you want.

I am happy to see the trolling thing as worded got shot down for now. I really think if they would have worded it differently from the start it would have had a better chance at passing, and cleaning up the regulations as was intended. It should have been limited to one line trolled from the start and then I think there would have been much more support. I would have supported it then.

1 or 2 lines and larger lakes like the lakes your able to troll in the Hayward area and I would've also fully supported it.

Dumb question.........is there a summary of the laws that passed this year or any changes that were made. There were a few questions that were proposed the last few years and not sure if they even made it into law.
